When I was a kid, poetry felt like a distanced language that I thought I had no relation with. But you know what shifted- a realization. That us human beings don’t function on a straight line. We have a vast imagination, and spectrum of emotions, that are required to be understood, first of all, by us before anyone else. Poetry allows me to be expressive. Whether it’s expressing my imagination, or my longing to be in my homeland, I write, and connect with myself, and even though it may seem trivial externally to others, it does a huge shift internally.
That is why, I organize poetry workshops, especially for kids. To help them be expressive, and think vastly. To be themselves.
The workshops are warm, interactive, joyful, and leaves a lasting impression on the kid.
