Our mission is to create a space for writers, readers, and anyone expressive to share their art, connect with others in person, and explore literature in its rawest, truest essence. Beyond that, we aim to help kids discover their creative spark, as well as vast thinking through poetry and creative writing workshops
I felt the need to share this story in first person.
I was 21, and I thought I could perhaps no longer continue becoming a Writer. Naive of me to believe that getting into corporate means leaving behind the person who I wanted to continue becoming.
But growing older widens your horizons & whispers- you can do whatever you want. Break the rules & follow yours. Who really cares when everybody is….busy? You know, zone out & listen to that voice? Also, I recently figured out that being zoned out from one place really just means you’re present somewhere else. So, relax?
Anyway, Isnt’t aging powerful?
At 18, I dreamt of writing retreats. Of being surrounded by people who are kind, gentle, and love to think beyond the set walls. A place where people read & write, and are themselves?
Putting my realization into action, I brainstormed TMB and brought it to existence as a digital literary journal.
I hope it finds you, and helps you find yourself, very soon! <3
I look forward to connecting with you here.
With faith, Deeksha
